A Texas City apartment complex and the lawyers representing 18 families receiving federal rent subsidies there settled a lawsuit over the complex’s rules.
The families represented by the Gulf Coast legal Foundation each will receive $150 in damages.
The managers of the Wood Hollow Place apartments in Texas City will no longer inspect apartments without notifying tenants and now will allow tenants to decorate inside walls without written permission, said legal foundation attorney Stephen C. McIntyre.
The suit contended that the complex rules were unreasonable.
